Joe Minadeo
Environmental Attorney

Joe Minadeo has a diverse background in the public and private practice of law as well as substantial experience in a range of environmental policy matters. Upon being admitted to practice in Vermont in 1996, Mr. Minadeo served for nearly five years as Associate General Counsel to the Vermont Water Resources Board where his practice focused on water resource management, water quality standards and streamflow issues. In 2000, Mr. Minadeo returned to his home town of Columbus, Ohio and joined the environmental and public law practice group at Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff where he served as an associate attorney handling matters arising under both Ohio and Federal environmental statutes, including complex transactional matters involving environmentally distressed real estate. In January, 2002, Mr. Minadeo took an in-house position with a local chemical blending and distribution company. His practice there included general business counseling of a manufacturer of pesticides and household cleaning products, advice regarding the transportation of hazardous materials, and management of a range of matters coming under the jurisdiction of the Ohio EPA, the Ohio PUCO, U.S. Department of Transporation, OSHA, U.S. EPA and various state departments of agriculture. More recently, Mr. Minadeo has practiced law as a solo practitioner serving a wide range of business and individual clients in both civil and criminal law matters, estate planning, employee/employer issues and commercial real estate transactions. Mr. Minadeo obtained his undergraduate degree in Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame and both his J.D. and a Masters in Environmental Law at the Vermont Law School. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and the State of Vermont and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
